Writing can be either a gesture of everyday life or a significant act, loaded with meaning. Signing one’s name, scribbling, crossing out words, writing a note, a letter…these are gestures that are common enough, or that were so until now, since writing, like reading or music, is becoming dematerialized with the age of the computer. We have arrived at an era when the act of writing is often an act of typing. Still, there remain quite a number of us who continue writing notes with pen and paper. [1]
